Hey there Handsome Human,
I'm Emory Joseph.
Welcome to My Webshack!

In addition to sharing what I'm up to, this site is also meant to; hawk the wares and ways of other folks I love, offer kitchen help, and even give advice for the love lorn or hairy.

It's AVAILABLE ON iTUNES!! - Emory Joseph - Fennario - Songs By Jerry Garcia & Robert Hunter

I'm so excited about Fennario. It's some of my favorite songs in the world,
recorded with some of my favorite musicians in the world - the album turned out fantastic! (in my humble opinion that is haha) and it's still - just starting to be heard.

I think you're gonna love it!

Saint Misbehavin' • The Wavy Gravy Movie!!!
I have done my first film score for director Michelle Esrick's wonderful film about Activist Clown, Poet, Frozen Desert, and Temple of Accumulated Error - Wavy Gravy. The film had it's world premier, to rave reviews, at the SXSW Film Festival, has packed a 1200 seat house at Durham, NC's "Full Frame Documentary Fest.", was treated like a royal thing by none other than Michael Moore at his festival in Traverse City, MI, and has been wowing and thrilling festival audiences all over the country. In addition to the score, I produced a gospel version of Wavy's anthem "Basic Human Needs" with Jackson Browne, Dr. John, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Maria Muldaur, Bob Weir, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Steve Earle, I can't wait for you to hear it!! Really folks, people are lovin' this film and I'm thrilled to be a part of it! You can sign up to get involved, and to see when and where it might be coming to your town at the Ripple Effect Films website.

Bonnie Raitt's latest album'SOULS ALIKE' features my song "Trinkets". It is a GREAT album by a GREAT artist and person - with a FABULOUS band. I am thrilled to be associated with it. Thank you Bonnie!

And if you haven't already heard it, here's an audio gander at the original -
extended version of Trinkets that I thought was a little too long for Labor & Spirits (at the time haha). Spacey ending and all - Y'all...groooovy!

"LABOR & SPIRITS" was the name of my debut album. It was meant to feature some of the finest players and craftspeople in our funky ol' musical world, as well as to introduce me as someone who likes it simple and sweet as often as I do funky and strong. I think we did a pretty good job of it (if I do say so myself). If you'd like , please click here to - HAVE A LISTEN for yourself.

S.G.L.S.O.M.C. (Social Gatherings Leave Stains on My Clothes)

Okay, this ain't the most fun and frolical S.G.L.S.O.M.C. news, but dig....
Inspired by things I know, and things I've just been reminded of, I've decided to only eat meatnesses I know was happy while they were alive. Corporate factory farming is a horrible and nasty business that is bad for literally everything involved - but look all pink and precious in the wrapped packages of their product that we buy in the Megamart. Look, I know it's gonna take some doing, and I'm sure there are gonna be some dilemmas arise where I'm gonna wanna (and will) choose rapport rather than rules; but I can't stand the thought of creatures I'd like to play with suffering every single day of their life before they come to my party on a plate. So, with that in mind, and to help you with where you might find your happy place in this ethical dilemma, I'm going to be offering places that are exemplary in their farming and ranching methods, and who are sources for clean and beautiful meat (while you and I are still eating it ;o). First on the hog parade is - Flying Pigs Farm of Shushan, NY. Saaaaalute!
