Dirty Linen Review
Emory Joseph's self-produced debut mixes blues, country-
rock, soul, and bayou music, a crossroads gumbo much like
the swirling riverfront atmosphere of St. Louis, where
Joseph grew up. His Southern-rock-flavored tenor and the
general good-time vibe of the tunes are supported by some
talented backup: Ben Wisch and Cookie Marenco recorded and
mixed the project and top players Duke Levine, Levon Helm,
and Mike Marshall are among those who sit in.
